The purpose of the Recreational Boating Safety Visitation Program (formerly
known as the Marine Dealer Visitation Program) is to promote boating safety
through the aid of the marine dealer or marine-related establishment in a
partnership relationship, and through this relationship, educate the boating and
general public.
A Marine Dealer as defined by this program is an establishment, which is
involved with the boating community. Examples could be: Boat and Marine
equipment retailers and distributors, insurance brokers, title companies, state
licensing agencies, yacht clubs, marine surveyors, boat rental businesses,
fishing and hunting organizations, and other locations where marine-related
information is available such as boat shows, gun and decoy exhibits, etc. Also,
all establishments, which deal with large numbers of the general public or the
waiting general public e.g. libraries, barber shops, and doctor's offices etc.
In the Green Bay area, Flotilla 04-02 generally visits the following
establishments:

Courses and VESSEL SAFETY CHECK
schedules and CG Auxiliary
contact telephone numbers. A Marine Dealer Visitor acts as an
ambassador of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
